Paul H. Dunham Paul Heber Dunham was born in East Cleveland,
December 10, 1923. He passed away November 21, 2007, in Canal
Fulton, his residence for the past 5 years. With a B.A. from Case
Western Reserve he began his professional life as a journalist. He
received an MBA from Kent State. Most of his career was spent as a
Manager of Industrial Engineering, though while employed at Lamb
Electric in Kent, he was also Treasurer for a number of years. He
earned a PH.D in education from Kent State, and ended his
professional life teaching industrial technology and C.A.D. at the
University of Akron. A life long proponent of exercise and fitness,
he ironically struggled for the last 20 years with physical
impairments resulting from a form of Muscular Dystrophy. His
courage, ongoing optimism about a cure, quick wit, and independent
spirit displayed in the face of daily challenges was an inspiration
to all those around him. His sense of humor and love of limericks
will long be remembered. Other interests included history, farming,
the Kent Men's Garden Club, and Wranglers. He was a charter
member of the United Presbyterian Church of Kent, which he attended
for many years and then later was a member of the United Church of
Christ in Kent. As a supporter of blood donation, he was proud to
have been a 12 gallon donor. Preceded in death by his devoted wife
of 57 years, Celesta, he is survived by daughters, Jane Dunbam of
Green, Deborah Hunter of Saipan, son Bill (Melanie) Dunham of
Prague, and grandchildren Yvonne Dunham of Moscow, Ian Dunham of
Nashville, Claire and Adam Dunham of Chattanooga, and Angela Lunda
of Montana; as well as his loyal companion, Teddy. His family would
like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Dad's ever
faithful support team - Pam, Kathy, George, Cheryl, Alethea, and
Heidi. Cremation has occurred. A memorial service will be held in
the chapel at Chapel Hill Retirement Community in Canal Fulton on
December 26 at 2:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made
to your local Humane Society. Cremation Society of Ohio
