BLACK RIVER, N.Y. — Hazel A.
Dunham, 72, of 113 Rodgers Rd., died Wednesday evening, March 7, in
the Carthage Area Hospital where she has been a patient since for a
month.
Born June 3, 1934, in Garland, Maine, the daughter of the late Ivory
A. and the late Ida B. Packard Amazeen, she attended school in
Garland, Maine.
She married Eugene "Ted" E. Dunham on Aug. 2, 1957, in Maine. She
was a day care provider, working out of her home for several years
in Maine. The couple moved to Black River in August of 1990. Mr.
Dunham, a truck driver died on March 28, 1991.
She lived at Kamargoo Apartments for several years until moving to
her daughter’s in December of 2006.
She was a member of the Garland Grange for over fifty years and a
member of the National Grange. She enjoyed traveling with her family
and volunteered at the Black River Elementary School Bookstore.
She leaves one daughter and son-in-law, Arlene L. and Frank Harvey
of Black River; a son and his wife, Ronald E. and Amanda Dunham of
Corinth, Maine; a grandson, Derek Dunham; three granddaughters,
Jessica Day and her husband Joshua, Lindsey A. Harvey and Carlie E.
Harvey and her fiancée Travis Wright; a brother and his wife,
Everett and Corice Amazeen, Garland, Maine; and two nieces, a nephew
and a close friend Lori A. May.
A celebration of her life will be held 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday,
March 16, at her residence. All are welcome to attend. There will be
no calling hours.
Arrangements are with the Bezanilla-McGraw Funeral Home, Carthage.
Burial will be in Corinth Cemetery, Corinth, Maine, in the spring.

Fund, 121 LeRay St., Black River, N.Y. 13612.
