OBITUARIES - David Carlyle Yule - Thomas James Raley - Eleanor E. Dunham - Helen M. Braun

David Carlyle Yule of Bellevue died March 26, 2002, at his home. He was 70. Mr. Yule was born July 12, 1931, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, and graduated from Central High School there in 1949. In 1957 he earned a degree in electrical engineering from the University of Idaho. He married Dorothy Crawford Yule on July 16, 1960, in Guelph, Ontario. Mr. Yule was an electrical engineer with The Boeing Co. in Renton from 1962 until 1993, when he retired. He was a member of the Bellevue Power Squadron and the Meydenbauer Yacht Club. Mr. Yule enjoyed boating on the Yuletide, playing bridge, traveling, fixing mechanical things and helping others. In addition to his wife, survivors include his sons Robert Yule and Bruce Yule, and two grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Bellevue First Presbyterian Church, 1717 Bellevue Way N.E. A reception will follow. A family burial will be held today at Sunset Hills Memorial Park in Bellevue. Remembrances may be made to Medic One of Bellevue, 766 Bellevue Way S.E., Bellevue, WA 98004. Green's Bellevue Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Thomas James Raley Thomas James Raley of Poulsbo, formerly of Fall City, died in Wenatchee on March 25, 2002. He was 43. Mr. Raley was born April 19, 1958, in Port Angeles and grew up in Seattle, where he graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1976. He received a bachelor of arts degree in political science from Western Washington University and also attended Wenatchee Valley Community College, earning a certificate in ski area management. He married Nancy Jo Klinefelter on June 16, 1984. They made their first home in North Bend and later moved to Fall City, where they lived for 12 years before moving to Poulsbo. In addition to his wife, survivors include his sons William James, Joseph Roland and James Daniel Levi Raley, all of North Bend; brother Dan Raley of Sammamish; and sister Jennifer Creveling of Issaquah. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 1729 Harvard Ave., Seattle. Burial will follow at the Fall City Cemetery. Flintoft's Issaquah Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Eleanor E. Dunham Eleanor E. Dunham of Bellevue died March 26, 2002, at her home. She was 84. Mrs. Dunham was born May 30, 1917, in Winegar, Wis. She grew up there and in Winchester, Idaho. On Dec. 12, 1947, she married Donald W. Dunham. They moved to Bellevue in 1954 from Burien. She worked for Pacific Telephone and Telegraph for 18 years. She also worked at Bellevue High School in the cafeteria for 10 years. Mrs. Dunham volunteered her time at Overlake Hospital in Bellevue. She enjoyed traveling, camping, reading, hand work and spending time with her family. In addition to her husband, survivors include her daughter Donel Gerrard of Snohomish; her son Michael Connealy of Las Cruces, N.M.; brother John Hoye of Lewiston, Idaho; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Tahoma National Cemetery in Maple Valley. Friends are invited to share memories and sign the family's online guest book at wwwflintofts.com. Flintoft's Issaquah Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Helen M. Braun Helen M. Braun of Issaquah died March 27, 2002, at Evergreen Hospice in Kirkland. She was 94. Mrs. Braun was born May 8, 1907, in Toledo, Ohio. She grew up in Toledo, where she graduated from high school and attended college. She married Edmund Braun in Toledo and later moved to Los Angeles. She worked as a secretary in the history department at the University of California at Los Angeles for 25 years prior to her retirement. Mrs. Braun enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family and friends. Her husband died June 28, 1986. Survivors include several nieces and nephews. No service will be held. Private burial will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Glendale, Calif. Friends are invited to sign the family's online guest book at www.flintofts.com.
