DONALD W. DUNHAM
Donald W. Dunham of Granite Falls, formerly of
Bellevue died May 5, 2005, at his home. He was 85.
Mr. Dunham was born Oct. 28, 1919, in Kent. He grew up in West Seattle and
graduated from Garfield High School.
He served with the Army in Northern Australia and Papua, New Guinea, in field
artillery. He moved back to Seattle where he met his future wife, Eleanor
Conneally, who worked for the AT&T phone company at the time. Mr. Dunham was
soon hired by US West as an engineer and later worked in the microwave
communications field. In 1954 the couple moved to Bellevue.
Survivors include his daughter, Donel Gerrard; son Michael Conneally; five
grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A committal service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Mt. Tahoma National
Cemetery with full military honors. The service will be open to the public.
