Dunham/Singletary Family Connections

Members Present: Gratia Dunham Mahony; Jan Dunham; John L. Dunham, Paul C. Dunham; Sam Dunnam plus Donna Jones – Membership Secretary

The Meeting was called to order by President – Jan Dunham – Quorum OK

Minutes were approved as delivered.
• Jan will continue to try and reach Barbara Patton relative to old files.
• Gratia reports that “resources” is work in progress
• Handbook item tabled until Pat is present

Reports Received
• Paul gave Financial Report. – We are solvent. After a small discussion, decided that if any member brought in 5 new members, he/she would earn a free membership. Resolution 2005-4 approved.
• Donna told about her efforts to reach folks for membership; some data incorrect; thus letters bounced back; help offered about ways to find folks
• Paul discussed his efforts to have memberships renewed.
• Paul reported that he is still working on Not-for-profit exempt application.
• The web site Paul has furnished was applauded for its look and helpfulness.
There was a discussion about how to increase its visibility; increase hits was one suggestion.

Additional Director Discussion
• Gratia has give us information about Tom Berg; and it was decided to ask him to join us.

Audit Committee Needs To Be Established
• Discussion about who might help was offered.
• Action was delayed until we need audit.

Funding Possibilities Discussed - no action

Additional Business
• There were helpful hints about the newsletter and Sam’s good work on it.
• It was decided that we should put a copyright logo on the newsletter to protect work of those who offered materials.
• Work on a brochure to attract new members was discussed. Some names were offered for help to unburden Sam who has the newsletter as first priority
• A Christmas greeting from our President was suggested and it was done!
